LECIP launches a new line of Farebox

Sep. 11, 2019

BENSENVILLE, IL.--LECIP INC., a subsidiary of LECIP HOLDINGS CORPORATION (TOKYO:7213) in Japan, today announced the launch of its new product line of a farebox for fixed-route buses in the U.S.

This new line of farebox has the Operator Control Unit integrated in to the farebox rather than conventional way of having it outside. The footprint has been reduced while the capacity for both coins and bills remain the same. These changes combined together, there will be additional benefit for more space freed for both riders and bus operators.

LECIP is in discussion with a transit authority to deliver the very first units of this new line farebox in coming fall.

“We are proud to launch the new line of farebox that will bring efficient and improved operation to bus operators. With this new line introduced, LECIP continues to make contribution to the industry.” said Akio Fujii, president of LECIP INC.

LECIP will showcase its new line of farebox at coming APTAtech Conference, September 15-18, 2019.
