New Building Completed at Head Motosu City Facility

Production works from the town of Ohno moved
and centralized at Motosu site

The fourth major building at the central Motosu City site has been under construction since February of 2002, and just completed at the beginning of August, is in full operation. The structure has provided new development and production facilities for the DC Power Supply Equipment Division, which was previously anchored in the neighboring town of Ohno, where industrial equipment and rechargers for battery-driven forklifts were produced. This division is now able to join the others, already aggregated together at the head site. Further, it has allowed for the construction of a state-of-the-art employee cafeteria where cashless lunch purchases are processed instantaneously at the point of sale using a smart card.

In addition to this, a part of the Sign and Display Division has been added to this new building, which was previously functioning out of building number one, the Production Coordination Division and the Corporate Affairs Division have joined it from building number three, as well as the employee cafeteria.

Beginning in 1995, in order to proceed with both the unification of its property and resources, and the enhancement of work effectiveness, LECIP has been moving its facilities a section at a time to the Motosu City site, and gradually centralized its resources there. With the completion of BuildingNo. 4 and the transfer of worksites to it, the rearranged LECIP setup now brings all of its domestic production into the two sites of the Motosu City headquarter, and the Kanagawa Prefecture manufacturing site, the Minato Production Company, which makes parts for bus systems.
